Certification is Required for Use of the Title
Mississippi has a title act restricting use of the title "Certified Interior Designer". In order to use this title, one must be certified by the Board.
To obtain certification, an applicant must meet the requirements of Section 73-73-7, 73-73-9, or 73-73-11 of state law, as well as the requirements outlined in Chapter 2 of the Rules and Regulations.
Pursuant to the provisions of the Military Family Freedom Act and the Universal Recognition of Occupational Licenses Act, Mississippi shall recognize occupational licenses obtained from other states.
