Individuals meeting the conditions of Rule 2.7 are prohibited from rendering additional architectural services beyond the offer or proposal until the individual has an active license.

Proposed Interior Design Rule (February 2020)

This is an official notification to all Mississippi Certified Interior Designers of an important proposed rule change. The Interior Design Advisory Committee of the Mississippi State Board of Architecture recently adopted a revised rule that was filed with the Mississippi Secretary of State on February 7, 2020. Please review the proposed rule, which will amend Rule 5.3 to bring the rule into compliance with the “Fresh Start Act of 2019” (SB 2781).

The Committee invites your comments or questions regarding the proposed rule. Send them by email to jcothron@msboa.ms.gov (or by postal mail to the Board office) by March 11, 2020.
